Jonathan is a retired chartered accountant with over 40 years’ experience of advising businesses and individuals throughout the UK. He co-founded his own accountancy practice and has board level experience in a number of companies. His experience in the voluntary sector includes chairing trustee boards and committees, with a particular interest in the education and hospice sectors.
He is married with 3 children and 6 grandchildren. His numerous hobbies include baking and spending as much time as possible in Cornwall, where he was born.
Paul is Managing Director of a large Agricultural supply business, Germinal UK and Ireland and a director of three other companies. He is a herbage project board member for the British Society of Plant Breeders and a member of the LEAF Marque technical advisory committee. He is a grant assessor for Innovate UK and has also assed grants and chaired funding committees for the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council.
Paul and his wife Clare have known Emma and David Webber for many years and their son attended the same school and played for the same local cricket clubs.
In his spare time Paul raises money for charity by undertaking long distance walks and is currently endeavouring to finish the 630 miles of the South West Coastal Footpath.
A professional fundraiser, Nadine started her career as a Development Director in Scotland, working at Strathclyde University, Loretto, Erskine Stewarts’ Melville and Morrison’s Academy. She moved to the Southwest with her children in 2015 to head up the development team at Taunton School. Since 2021 she has led a new campaign for bursaries at Bristol Grammar School and is passionate about lifechanging opportunities afforded through education.
Sarah graduated from Sheffield University with a degree in human physiology before starting a sales career at swcomms (now part of Focus Group) in 1986. She became a sales director in 1995 and held that position until taking early retirement in July 2024.
Sarah climbed Annapurna to raise money for the Exeter Foundation and has also organised a number of black-tie charity events at Sandy Park, Exeter raising £125,000 for the Prince’s Trust, Wooden Spoon and the Focus Foundation.
Sarah and her husband Kevin are close friends of David and Emma and following the tragic loss of Barney, organised a black-tie event in November 2022 to raise funds for The Barnaby Webber Foundation for whom she is proud to be a Trustee.
Carol is a doctor working as a community paediatrician. She has worked for the NHS for over thirty years and currently has strategic responsibility for the health of all children in care in Somerset. Previously she has worked in London, Kent and Dorset in hospital and community settings in a variety of paediatric roles.
She moved from London to Somerset in 1999 when her daughter was four days old.
Barney was her son’s closest friend from nursery until the time of Barney’s death, and the boys shared many birthday parties having birthdays three days apart. Carol and her husband are close friends with Emma and David Webber.
Carol is a pianist who attended the Royal Academy of Music in London as a Junior Exhibitioner but now plays simply for enjoyment. Her other hobbies include walking, especially with her miniature dachshund.
Sally is a Farmer and Company Director. Born and having lived in Somerset her entire life, she started her career in Banking and has since carried out Finance and Procurement roles. She previously worked in the Charity Sector for 9 years.
Sally is married with two adult sons. She enjoys a number of hobbies including walking, reading, paddle boarding and motor sports, being a member of The Goodwood Road Racing Club.
Sally and her family have known Dave and Emma for many years and her youngest son was a good friend of Barnaby. Sally is proud to support the Webber family by becoming a Trustee of the Foundation created in his memory.
