Grant of £1620 awarded to Mentoring Plus

The trustees of the Barnaby Webber Foundation were delighted to support Mentoring Plus, which offers one to one guidance and mentoring for young people aged 11-18 facing significant challenges.

“Thanks to support from the Barnaby Webber Foundation, we can provide life-changing weekly mentoring activity sessions for up to a year, for three young people, who are experiencing tough and complex challenges. Every week our mentors meet their young person to provide support, encouragement and a safe space to be themselves, whilst doing an activity together. Mentees are encouraged to follow their own passions, try new things and connect with community groups. Activities may include going to the park, geo-catching, musical theatre, playing board games and baking cakes. Having a trusted adult who shows up every week, just for them, boosts wellbeing, confidence, social skills and engagement with education.”
