Event Date: Friday 13 June from 11:30am

Nottingham Memorial Walk Friday

The families of Barney, Grace and Ian will unite once more in Nottingham on the morning of the 13 June to mark the tragic day their lives were changed forever.

The walk will be an opportunity to reflect, to remember the innocent souls so cruelly taken and to show solidarity and love.

The walk starts at St Paul’s Church in Lenton Road at 11.30am and, from there, to Ilkeston Road, on the Radford and Lenton border, and Magdala Road, Mapperley Park – the two locations of the killings.

For those who wish, flowers will be laid at each spot. Colours of yellow and green (for Nottingham University sports) and red (for Nottingham Forest) are encouraged to be worn. The survivors of the heinous attacks are also very warmly invited to join with the families. We all stand stronger together.

The community of Nottingham is warmly invited to join them. The city and its residents have continued to show great compassion and empathy with the devastated families and whilst there are grievous and shameful failings of many agencies and individuals who enabled the killings to take place, they are not reflective of the amazing community of Nottingham.
