Taunton School Race to the Kings to raise £6400 for Barney’s Foundation!

A Taunton School team took on an incredible challenge of racing 100k to raise funds for the Barnaby Webber Foundation.

Organiser, Sarah Woodhall, says “It was tough going, but everyone put in a shift to get over the line. It’s a very pretty course and I think everyone appreciated that most of the time. It’s a fantastically run event, and you run/walk with all sorts of people along the way with everyone having the same goal of finishing- it was a great atmosphere. Cat finished her 50k in fantastic style long before the rest of us, with Laura smashing 13.5 hours. I came in an hour later with James not too far behind. Lottie (who was a last-minute replacement) got to within 5k of the end but had to withdraw due to a suspected stress fracture in her foot (but an amazing effort on no training!!).

What an experience and a fantastic amount raised for a charity close to the heart of many at Taunton School… never forgotten Barney 💛💚.
