Racing towards a healthier life in Barney’s memory
Barnaby Webber Foundation Trustee and life-long family friend of the Webber family, Carol, is about to embark on a remarkable journey to raise funds and awareness of the work the foundation is doing to cherish Barney’s memory.
Carol and her family, husband Albert and children Emily and Tom (Barney’s best friend) are running the legendary “Race to the Stones”- a gruelling 100km endurance race which they will walk and run together! Daughter Emily, completed the challenge in 2024, raising over £5000 for the Barnaby Webber Foundation. This time and thanks to an incredible physical transformation – both Carol and Albert have lost over 16 stone combined- they will be competing too.
“ Our children became very worried about our health, relating to obesity, after Barney’s death and both felt they could not cope with any more loss. We finally did something about it and now strength train twice a week at the gym and walk an average 50 miles a week. We are exciting about the challenge and encourage as many people as possible to support us by donating to the Foundation. ” Carol Smith, Trustee Barnaby Webber Foundation
